BeReal is looking for a data engineer to join a fast-moving team focused on scaling its infrastructure for hundreds of millions of users. You will own data pipelines, contribute code in production, and drive architectural decisions within an agile environment. Collaboration spans back-end, data science, mobile games, and marketing to deliver robust data solutions.

The role emphasizes ownership, fast delivery, and using modern tools like GCP, BigQuery, DBT, and Airflow to support business growth.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Proven track record building and optimising data pipelines at scale.
• Strong experience in scalability, reliability, and security topics.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with unstructured datasets.
• Result-oriented and focused on the value created by your developments
• Curious about business needs and keen to create innovative, agile solutions to help grow the business through data.

Responsabilités

• Construct and manage robust data pipelines to align with evolving business needs, ensuring optimal architecture support.
• Contribute to the codebase, push and maintain changes in production, and advocate best coding and data engineering practices.
• Take ownership of projects from initial discussions to release, including feature estimation, architecture design, and benchmarking of new technologies.
• Collaborate with back-end development, data science, mobile games, broad audience apps, product & marketing.
