Vibe is seeking a senior data engineer to own the platform layer that delivers production-ready data for campaigns. You will run schema changes, data transformations, and the reporting pipeline that feeds the advertiser UI, operating at petabyte-scale with direct access to engineers building the infrastructure.

You will ship efficient, scalable data models from Kafka and Iceberg to client-facing dashboards, optimize the reporting stack, and proactively fix data-quality issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production data engineering with on-call ownership.
• Strong SQL and schema design for high-volume data.
• Production experience with an orchestrator (Dagster, Airflow, Prefect) and dbt.
• Provide a full end-to-end optimization example with measurable impact.
• Ability to turn vague requests into concrete, fast plans.
• Demonstrated depth in systems-level data infra.

Responsabilités

• Ship schema changes across petabyte-scale tables without breaking downstream consumers.
• Make the reporting stack faster and cheaper; own latency and compute spend.
• Translate new product features into production data models from Kafka/Iceberg to UI.
• Trace discrepancies across stack and fix root causes.
• Identify scaling and data-quality issues before they escalate (2am on-call).
• Push back on costly requests; advocate practical, efficient solutions.
