Mistral AI seeks a Critical Infrastructure Engineering Lead to safeguard high-density AI compute by overseeing electrical, mechanical, and life-safety infrastructure across colocation sites. You will assess risks, guide incident response, and ensure resilience through collaboration with Engineering Operations, OEM partners, and IT Operations.

The role emphasizes technical assurance and site-level governance with a strong focus on preventive strategies, design reviews, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Experience with critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure in data-center or colocation environments.
• Knowledge of life-safety systems and risk assessment.
• Ability to coordinate with operators, OEM partners and providers.

Responsabilités

• Own and maintain the site technical risk register, including electrical and mechanical single points of failure, maintenance exposure and redundancy.
• Review preventive maintenance strategies, schedules, and asset condition related to power and cooling.
• Act as escalation point during major infrastructure incidents and coordinate with colocation providers and IT/Ops teams.
• Support emergency response planning and tabletop exercises covering loss of utility, cooling failures and critical equipment failures.
