Allianz Global Investors is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join the Global Credit Research team in Paris or London. You will deliver in-depth credit analysis across Healthcare, Retail and Gaming, covering Investment Grade and High Yield names and analyzing ~50 issuers.

You will build financial models, forecast earnings and cash flows, and integrate macro trends and ESG considerations into credit opinions, presenting insights to portfolio managers and participating in committees.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in credit analysis.
• English fluent; French is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Autonomy, curiosity, reactiveness.
• Team player capable of cross‑functional collaboration.
• Verbal and written communication.
• Experience with Bloomberg; familiarity with AI tools and responsible use.

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Credit Analyst to join our Global Credit Research team.

The Global Credit Research team underpins the firm’s global investment process and value proposition as an active manager. The team’s analysts support all pillars of expertise for portfolio managers to draw upon and share a globally integrated set of research expertise and insights. The team also includes resource focused on advancing our pioneering ESG and sustainability capabilities onto our Fixed Income platform.

The role will focus on the Healthcare, Retail and Gaming sectors, Investment Grade and High Yield. The successful candidate will join the Corporate Research EU team and will work closely with portfolio managers predominantly located in Allianz GI’s European locations as well as with the other credit analysts based in the US and in Asia.

The role is based in our London or Paris office.

What You Do

Responsibility for the Healthcare, Retail and Gaming sectors, coverage of Investment Grade and High Yield names. Analytical responsibility for c. 50 issuers.

• Utilize an analytical approach emphasizing financial modeling and company due diligence to determine investment opportunities
• Forecast company earnings, cash flow generation and capital requirements under various scenarios
• Incorporate macroeconomic conditions, industry trends, and ESG analysis into opinions
• Evaluate company capital structures and perform recovery analysis to determine optimal risk-adjusted return opportunities
• Review security covenants and bond indentures to examine potential risks to security holders
• Assign internal ratings
• Participate in credit committees and portfolio management meetings
• Provide sector views and relative value recommendations within sectors
• Strategize with portfolio managers on positioning for portfolios across sectors and capital structures to maximize returns
• Contribute to marketing efforts for various strategies with clients.

What You Bring

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in credit analysis in the buy-side or sell-side
• English fluent, French is a plus
• Diligent and attention to detail, with strong analytical skills
• Autonomy and curiosity, reactiveness
• Team player and ability to build positive relationships across the business
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bloomberg knowledge, LLMs practice and software/programming skills (VBA, Python)
• Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices
• CFA is a plus.
