Jobtailor is seeking a senior cosmetic clinical development lead in Grasse, France to head clinical evaluation and claim substantiation of natural cosmetic actives for skincare and haircare. You will design and oversee studies, manage CROs, and coordinate international projects.

You will work with cross-functional teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and communicate results to internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
• 8–15 years of cosmetic clinical development and claim substantiation.
• Experience in skincare/haircare efficacy evaluation.
• Experience managing CROs and coordinating international clinical studies.
• Excellent French and English communication.
• Independent, proactive, and project-driven.
• Knowledge of clinical and preclinical methodologies for cosmetic claims.
• Strong stakeholder management and organizational skills.

• Lead the clinical evaluation and claim substantiation of natural cosmetic active ingredients, focusing on skincare and haircare applications
• Design and oversee clinical studies supporting efficacy claims
• Manage external partners and CROs, ensuring scientific excellence and timely execution
• Plan, prioritize, and monitor projects in alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations
• Define and implement complementary preclinical and mechanistic approaches, including biomarkers and ex vivo models
• Analyze and interpret clinical and preclinical data to generate meaningful consumer benefits and differentiating claims
• Support preparation and communication of scientific results to internal teams and external scientific audiences
• Collaborate cross-functionally while ensuring compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines
• Work with colleagues across scientific disciplines to foster innovation and scientific excellence

Requirements

• Master's degree in Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline
• 8 to 15 years of experience in cosmetic clinical development and claim substantiation
• Proven expertise in skincare and/or haircare efficacy evaluation
• Strong experience managing CROs and coordinating clinical studies in an international environment
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive projects from conception to completion
• Solid understanding of clinical and preclinical methodologies used to support cosmetic claims
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English
• Strong organizational, analytical, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Proficiency with relevant scientific and data analysis software tools
• Passion for cosmetic clinical research and a rigorous scientific mindset
• Strong interest in natural cosmetic ingredients and their biological mechanisms of action
