Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician II to independently inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and support a broad range of medical equipment from routine to moderate complexity. You will collaborate with clinicians, vendors, and internal stakeholders while contributing to documentation and quality improvement initiatives.

The role requires hands-on experience with electronics, strong computer skills, and the ability to work on-call for after-hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years related work experience required.
• 2 years experience in electronics.
• Experience with computer systems including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, tests, troubleshoots to component level, repair, and calibrate to manufacturer's specifications all types of electronic and electro-mechanical instrumentation.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections on Direct and Indirect Patient-Care-Related electronic instrumentation / systems.
• Prepares and maintains records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance using paper and computer systems.
• Assists in installation of capital equipment purchases and interfaces with manufacturers on projects.
• Participates in after-hours emergency service coverage (On Call) as required.
