Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 3–5 years related work experience.
• 2 years experience in electronics.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, tests, troubleshoots to component level, repair, and calibrate electronic and electro-mechanical instrumentation to manufacturer specifications.
• Uses schematics, drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals; conducts preventive maintenance inspections on patient-care-related electronics.
• Prepares and maintains records of repairs and maintenance using paper and computer systems; assists in installation of capital equipment purchases.
• Performs additional support tasks within Clinical Engineering and interfaces with manufacturers on projects and problems.
• Maintains knowledge of advances in electronics and equipment changes within the hospital.
• Participation in after-hours emergency service coverage (On Call).
• May work outside the parameters of the job description.
