Odaseva is hiring a senior data engineer. Join our R&D team to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for large-scale data lake ingestion, leveraging Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud services.

You’ll implement secure, governed data flows and optimize lakehouse architectures (Delta Lake / Iceberg) while controlling costs. Based in Paris, this hybrid role requires 7+ years in data engineering with strong Python/Java, SQL, and bilingual English/French communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or backend data platforms with at least 3 years building big data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience handling large data volumes (hundreds of TB) and managing data lake platforms.
• Expertise in Spark and lakehouse formats (Delta Lake / Iceberg).
• Strong Python/Java, SQL, and cloud infra (AWS S3, Glue, Athena).
• Fluent in English and French with clear communication and collaboration skills.

• Data Pipeline Development & Operations: design, build, monitor Spark pipelines for large-scale ingestion.
• Platform & Cost Optimization: enhance performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Databricks, Snowflake & Cloud Engineering: leverage Databricks, Snowflake, or Redshift with AWS services.
• Lakehouse Architecture: manage and optimize Delta Lake or Iceberg tables.
• Secure Data Management: apply governance and security-by-design across storage and compute.
