Odaseva, a SaaS company for secure data management around Salesforce environments, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines. Based in Paris with a hybrid 3 days in-office/2 days remote, you will work on Databricks, Snowflake, and lakehouse technologies to handle hundreds of TBs of data with security-by-design principles.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data engineering or backend data platforms, with at least 3 years hands-on building big data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience handling hundreds of TB of data.
• Deep knowledge of at least one data lake platform among Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS Redshift.
• Strong expertise in Apache Spark and lakehouse formats (Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg).
• Strong Python or Java and SQL skills, cloud infra (AWS S3, Athena, Glue) and IaC/observability practices.
• Solid understanding of cost management, data security, governance, and data modeling.
• Equivalent engineering school degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Applied Mathematics.
• Fluent in English and French with clear communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Data Pipeline Development & Operations: Design, build, handle, and monitor Spark pipelines for large-volume data lake ingestion (hundreds of TBs).
• Platform & Cost Optimization: Continuously optimize performance, reliability, and costs of big data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Databricks, Snowflake & Cloud Engineering: Leverage Databricks, Snowflake or AWS Redshift with AWS services for scalable data engineering.
• Lakehouse Architecture: Manage and optimize Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg tables.
• Secure Data Management: Apply security-by-design, governance and compliance across storage, compute, and sharing layers.
