Job summary

Electra is seeking a Senior Software Engineer Backend for Paris Roaming squad. The role owns the backend services enabling OCPI/OICP roaming, a Go-based eMSP, payments, and invoicing at European scale.

You will design, ship and operate production-grade distributed systems, mentor peers, and collaborate with product, operations, finance to keep roaming reliable and scalable as the network grows. This role offers a hybrid work model from Paris, a competitive package, and a path to influence

Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a backend software engineer.
Experience designing, shipping and operating production-grade distributed systems.
Fluent in English and French.
Experience with OCPI/OICP or invoicing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build and operate the Roaming backend with OCPI 2.2.1 and OICP integrations, real-time sync of partner networks and invoice flows.
Work hands-on across stack: Go for performance, Ruby on Rails for business logic, PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, NATS/Redis, deployed on AWS with Datadog observability.
