Jobgether, representing a partner company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Backend-leaning Full Stack) based in France. You will own backend systems for a payment technology platform, focusing ~80% backend with contributions to the frontend as needed, including data pipelines, integrations, and orchestration.

You’ll work with Python, Next.js, React, and PostgreSQL, design scalable architectures, and participate in AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend engineering with the ability to contribute across the full stack.
• Experience with Python, Next.js, React, and PostgreSQL.
• Proven ability to design, build, ship, and maintain production systems.
• Strong system design skills and judgment in ambiguous environments.
• Experience with APIs, databases, and production infrastructure.
• Experience in fintech, billing, or payment systems is advantageous.
• Ability to understand and Architect problems before coding, and critique AI-generated code.

Responsabilités

• Own software projects end to end from design to production ownership.
• Design, build, and maintain backend systems for payment recovery, billing, and subscriptions.
• Develop and manage integrations with payment providers and external services.
• Build data models, ingestion pipelines, and reconciliation processes.
• Improve retry, orchestration, and payment recovery infrastructure for reliability.
• Contribute to data-driven initiatives and machine-learning experiments.
• Develop and maintain email and push notification workflows and customer-facing features.
• Collaborate across frontend when needed, using Next.js and React.
