Jobgether is seeking a Backend QA Engineer based in France to own quality across a high-traffic, backend-focused platform. You will perform manual testing and develop automation in Go, validating REST/gRPC APIs, SQL data, and event-driven workflows.

This fully remote role offers ownership in a fast-growing technology environment and collaboration with a global team. You will design comprehensive test cases, explore edge cases, and ensure robust releases while working with engineers and business

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional manual testing experience with backend services and distributed systems.
• Experience testing products in transaction-intensive domains (gaming, fintech, payments, banking).
• Strong SQL skills for validating data in relational databases.
• Hands-on API testing with Postman; familiarity with test management tools like TestRail/Zephyr.
• Ability to read Go code and extend automated tests in Go; willingness to work with Go for automation.
• Working knowledge of Docker; ability to run services locally.
• Knowledge of microservices and CI/CD pipelines; Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Analyze requirements and user stories to design comprehensive test cases and coverage strategies.
• Perform end-to-end testing of transaction lifecycles including initiation, authorization, settlement, and reconciliation.
• Explore the platform to identify edge cases, risks, and gaps not covered by specifications.
• Validate data integrity across services using SQL queries against PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Test REST and gRPC APIs using Postman or grpcurl; validate requests, responses, and error handling.
• Verify event-driven workflows across Kafka, RabbitMQ, and NATS, including retries and duplicates.
• Write and maintain automated regression tests in Go, collaborating with developers as needed.
• Log and track defects in Jira with detailed repro steps and context.
• Execute regression testing after deployments and improve QA processes.
