Chaberton Partners in Paris is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Research Team and lead executive search mandates in the French market. This role offers autonomy, close client contact, and the opportunity to shape our presence in France as the office grows.

We expect roughly 7–10 years of relevant experience, fluency in French and English, and a strong ability to distill market insights into actionable views.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in executive search, research or related client-facing environment.
• Fluency in French and English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Strong analytical judgement and ability to distill market information into a clear point of view.
• Polished written and verbal communication with credibility for senior stakeholders.
• Ownership mindset with ability to run multiple mandates in parallel with minimal oversight.
• Energetic in a fast-moving, international, collaborative setting.

Responsabilités

• Lead search strategy end-to-end, understanding client business, landscape and leadership needs.
• Own the client relationship and act as primary contact throughout the mandate.
• Shape market expertise and contribute to new business pitches and client conversations.
• Build relationships with senior executives, assessing candidates beyond their track record on paper.
• Mentor junior team members and help grow the French office as it expands.

We partner with leading organisations at the most senior levels, helping them identify, assess and secure the leaders who will shape their future.

Our growth continues with the strengthening of our presence in France. As we build this next chapter, we are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Research Team in Paris and take on a central role in delivering executive search mandates in the French market.

The Role

This is a role for a seasoned research professional ready to operate with real autonomy, close to the client and close to the market, and genuinely energised by an entrepreneurial context: joining us at a stage where our French office is still being built, with a real say in how we operate and grow the team. Working alongside our Partners and expected to lead rather than simply contribute, the Senior Associate is expected to:

• Comfort in a build-phase, entrepreneurial environment – helping shape how our French office and market presence develop, and mentoring more junior team members as the team grows
• Lead search strategy end-to-end – bringing a sharp understanding of the client's business, competitive landscape and leadership needs to the design of each assignment, and taking full ownership of the pace and quality of execution
• Build relationships with senior executives – approaching, assessing and building relationships with executive and C-level candidates, forming an informed view of each well beyond their track record on paper
• Own the client relationship – acting as a point of contact for the client throughout the mandate, with the credibility to manage senior stakeholders
• Shape market expertise across the team – developing a recognised point of view on specific industries or functions, reading trends ahead of the market, and actively contributing to new business pitches and client conversations
• Own and quality-control high-stakes deliverables – taking final responsibility for the documents on which client decisions are made (search strategies, progress updates, candidate and reference reports), and reviewing the work of more junior colleagues

What We Are Looking For

• Roughly 7–10 years of relevant experience, gained in executive search, research, consulting or another rigorous, client-facing and analytical environment
• Fluency in French and English; additional languages are an advantage
• Sharp analytical judgement and the ability to distil complex market information into a clear, defensible point of view
• Polished written and verbal communication, with the gravitas to engage senior executives and clients directly
• An ownership approach, sound judgement, and the discipline to run several demanding mandates in parallel with minimal oversight
• Genuine energy for operating in a fast-moving, international and highly collaborative environment
