Proton is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to lead the development of Proton Pass using Jetpack Compose and Rust. You will own end-to-end mobile solutions, ensuring scalable, high-performance apps across Android platforms.

You will work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, shaping mobile architecture and best practices while delivering exceptional user experiences. Remote-friendly with office options in multiple cities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience developing mobile applications for Android using Kotlin.
• Familiarity with Rust and Jetpack Compose for Android.
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns and best practices.
• Experience with memory management and multithreading in mobile apps.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications for Android using Kotlin and Rust.
• Take end-to-end ownership of mobile projects, from scoping to delivery.
• Explore new technologies and approaches to improve mobile development.
• Optimise performance, usability and responsiveness across devices.
• Design for scalability considering data caching and server load.
• Prioritise customer satisfaction through user feedback and iteration.
