Proton is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to lead cross‑platform mobile development for Proton Pass using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and Rust. You’ll own end‑to‑end features across Android and cross‑platform components, delivering scalable, high‑quality apps and contributing to security‑first products.

You’ll collaborate with world‑class engineers, drive performance optimizations, memory management, and concurrency, and help shape best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience developing Android apps with Kotlin.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose for Android and familiarity with Rust.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications for Android using Kotlin, Rust, and Jetpack Compose.
• Own end-to-end mobile projects: scope, plan, and deliver on deadlines.
• Explore new technologies and approaches to improve mobile development.
• Optimize apps for performance, usability and responsiveness across devices.
• Manage memory, threading, and concurrency for responsive apps.
• Design for scalability with caching, network usage, and server load.
