Opal is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to build an app that helps millions focus better every day. You will own features end-to-end in a remote-first team operating in European time zones. You'll work with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Gradle and modern Android tooling, shaping architecture, quality and user experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building Android apps with live Play Store examples.
• Deep proficiency in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Gradle, coroutines and Flow.
• Strong attention to detail and craft.
• Owns workflows for AI-enhanced development.
• Experience at a startup or fast-growing company with ownership beyond title.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive solutions.

Responsabilités

• Ship features and interactions end-to-end in the Android app.
• Close the gap with iOS and drive Android growth.
• Bring own product ideas and influence architecture decisions.
• Design and analyze AB tests and respond to metrics.
• Own Play Store releases, rollouts and policy compliance.
• Improve dev workflows and AI tooling.
• Collaborate with design and product in a flat, cross-functional setup.
• Support customers and stay close to their experience.
