Blue Yonder is seeking an experienced Staff AI Engineer to help build the engineering foundations behind its AI-powered products. You will work within Autonomy Labs to develop agents operating in real supply chain and retail workflows, building services, APIs, evaluation systems, and environments for training, testing, and deployment.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on production behavior, evaluation results, traces, and data to improve models and create reliable products.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with complex production systems.
• Strong Python and backend engineering expertise, API design and distributed systems experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-powered applications or AI agent platforms.
• Practical understanding of AI evaluation including test-case design and regression testing.
• Strong fundamentals in code quality, security, observability, CI/CD and reliability.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and containerization.
• Ability to collaborate with researchers and translate experimental needs into software.

Responsabilités

• Architect and build robust software systems supporting AI agent development, evaluation, deployment, and improvement.
• Develop services and pipelines for collecting agent traces, tool calls, outcomes, and user feedback.
• Build systems for scalable evaluation of model behavior using deterministic checks and statistical analysis.
• Create feedback loops between production systems and model-training teams to turn failures into training data.
• Build training and evaluation environments representing realistic workflows with stable APIs and reproducible state.
• Implement integrations and services for agents to interact with enterprise systems and data.
• Design for reproducibility across models, prompts, tools, data, and environments for measurable changes.
• Collaborate with model-training teams to determine whether problems require software changes, data, or evaluation adjustments.
