Mistral.ai is building a sovereign AI cloud for Europe with a strong focus on secure, scalable back-end infrastructure. You will lead a team from day one, balance architecture decisions with people management, and shape the runtime environment that AI agents rely on.

You will hire, coach, and drive performance while staying close to code. Expertise in Linux internals, Go production systems, and secure isolation is essential. This role is a senior leadership track and heavily tech-focused.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years building backend or infrastructure systems.
• 2+ years of real people leadership with engineers.
• Shipped production Go systems, not dabbling.
• Understanding of network isolation at packet level.

Aufgaben

• Build the isolation layer using microVMs or containers, namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, snapshot and restore.
• Own the security boundary so customer code runs safely.
• Scale to fleets with efficient creation latency and lifecycle management.
• Write Go and own architecture and difficult implementation decisions.
• Grow engineers by mentoring and setting ownership standards.
• Lead people management: hiring, performance, growth, feedback.
• Partner with Product Managers to turn frontier research into primitives.
