Job summary

Mirakl - Labs is seeking a Senior Agent Builder to design, build, and scale production-grade AI systems powering the next generation of intelligent commerce. You will work at the intersection of Software Engineering, ML, and Generative AI to create AI-native products and agentic capabilities used by Mirakl customers and internal teams.

This freelance role is based in Paris or Bordeaux with one remote workday per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, ML Engineering, Applied AI, or related fields.
• Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience building production AI systems using LLMs, RAG, and AI Agents.
• Experience designing multi-step agentic workflows and retrieval systems.
• Experience evaluating AI systems and improving model performance.
• Experience deploying and operating production services in cloud environments.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Design & build production-grade AI systems powering Mirakl internal operations and customer solutions.
• Integrate AI systems with internal platforms, data sources, and business tools (CRM, data platform, Drive, Jira).
• Prototype and scale agentic workflows with memory, tools, retrieval, planning, and guardrails.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to identify high-value AI opportunities.
• Establish monitoring, security, and reliability practices across AI systems.
