Job summary

Cabot Corporation is hiring an Experienced Accountant / Deputy Finance Manager for the Port Jérôme Finance Team in Normandy, France. The role covers accounting, tax and budgeting for Cabot France and supports the Port Jérôme entity, working with Shared Services in Latvia and site operations.

Responsibilities include monthly closings, statutory reporting, tax declarations, VAT, and internal controls, with involvement in budgeting and process digitalization. Fluency in French and English required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in accounting or finance; DSCG advantageous.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in finance (accounting and/or financial audit).
• Strong knowledge of French accounting standards and good knowledge of US GAAP (Deferred Taxes).
• Strong understanding of local accounting, taxation, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly detail-oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; fluent in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Participate in site accounting activities with Shared Services Center and local Accounting & Finance Manager.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare statutory accounts, tax declarations, customs declarations, and VAT returns under French regulations.
• Maintain robust internal controls in line with policies and SOX requirements.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and monthly forecasting with cross-functional teams.
• Act as back-up for the Site Finance Manager during absences, especially for month-end closings and tax filings.
• Support the plant's operational departments in process digitalization initiatives.
