Job summary

Cabot Corporation, Port Jérôme plant in Normandy, France, is seeking an Experienced Accountant / Deputy Finance Manager to oversee accounting, tax and budgeting for Cabot France and the Port Jérôme entity. You will coordinate with the Shared Services Center in Latvia and plant operations to ensure timely reporting.

You will bring a Master’s in accounting/finance (DSCG advantageous), 5+ years of finance experience, and strong French accounting knowledge with US GAAP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting/finance; DSCG advantageous.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in finance.
• Strong knowledge of French accounting standards and good knowledge of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the site’s accounting activities with Shared Services Center.
• Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes.
• Prepare statutory accounts, tax and customs declarations and VAT returns.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements (SOX).
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting cycles; support plant operations.
• Act as back-up for Site Finance Manager during absences.
• Support plant in process digitalisation initiatives.
