Job summary

Mithrall in Paris is seeking a Senior 3D Animator to bring dwarves and creatures to life in our PvP fantasy sandbox MMO. You will work on locomotion, combat, and tool interactions, integrate animations in Unity/Unreal, and collaborate with designers and programmers.

A shipped title and strong timing/weight are essential; familiarity with Maya/Blender and motion capture workflow is a plus. Join our small, senior team and work onsite near Paris to shape the biggest games of tomorrow.

Qualifications

• Senior experience animating for games, with at least one shipped title.
• Excellent body mechanics and a strong sense of weight and timing.
• Gameplay animation experience: combat, locomotion systems, transitions.
• Fluency in Maya, MotionBuilder or Blender, and hands-on integration in Unity or Unreal.
• A reel showing gameplay animation in context, not only cinematics.

Responsibilities

• Animate playable dwarves: locomotion, combat, tool use, building and crafting actions, interactions.
• Animate creatures across biomes, up to dragons.
• Collaborate with gameplay programmers on responsiveness: timings, cancel windows, blending, root motion.
• Set up and maintain animation in Unity: Animator controllers, blend trees, layers, retargeting, and shaping the animation pipeline.
• Keep the cast weight and personality consistent.
