A leading company in packaging solutions is seeking a Secondary Packaging Platform Expert in Octeville-sur-Mer, France. The role involves supporting transversal activities related to secondary packaging, including portfolio management, cost and performance assessment, and project execution. Secondary Packaging Platform Expert (M/W/D)

Your Opportunity

Supporting the Platform Owner and Engineering team on transversal activities: secondary packaging portfolio management, product line competitiveness and profitability, technical knowledge deployment, and pre-contracting activities.

Your Mission

• Support Platform Owner on transversal activities, including performance, cost, manufacturing initiatives for overwrapping and stretch-wrapping platforms.
• Contribute to product range mapping and portfolio completion: sizes, variants, options list, and recommended prices, configurators.
• Support quotation and pre-contracting activities by securing support tools (dimensioning tools, consumption tables, etc.).
• Participate in risk, cost, and delivery impact assessments for execution projects.
• Contribute to continuous competition monitoring and benchmarking.
• Gather customer feedback and competition insights; participate in testing and start-up of pre-series.
• Ensure the implementation of main technical guidelines or regulations (safety, standards, automation, etc.).
• Maintain technical documentation quality and continuous updates.
• Support project execution, customer meetings (performance issues, technical improvements, etc.), and services.
• Promote products through customer meetings during pre-contracting phases and exhibitions.
• Contribute to transversal competence deployment on Sensitive Products and Aseptic technologies.
• Manage assigned PDAL activities and budgets; participate in Product Evolution Committee and Top Technical Issues meetings.
• Serve as team member and technical referent for Product Development projects.

Your Profile

You hold a Master’s degree or equivalent and are fluent in both English and French; fluency in Italian is an advantage.

You possess in-depth knowledge of secondary packaging equipment gained through engineering or product support experience, preferably with customer-facing roles. Your troubleshooting and crisis management skills, combined with a strong foundation in mechanical and automation engineering, enable you to handle complex technical challenges. You also have excellent leadership and communication skills, making you an effective team leader and collaborator.
