FORVIA is seeking a senior strategic development professional to drive partnerships and M&A activities across the Seating Business Group. The role collaborates with functions, divisions and product lines to identify growth opportunities, conduct due diligence, and manage complex transaction processes.

The ideal candidate brings a Master’s in engineering or business, 5+ years in industrial environments (preferably automotive), strong financial modelling skills and a strategic mindset to shape

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering or business administration
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial environment (ideally automotive)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Transaction services and/or Strategy
  • Strategic agility and solid business acumen
  • Strong ability to build business models and perform financial modelling & business cases
  • Strong analytic and communication skills

Responsabilités

  • Drive partnerships and M&A opportunities across the Seating Business Group in collaboration with functions, divisions and product lines.
  • Identify growth opportunities, conduct market sizing, benchmarking and due diligence for transactions.
  • Lead deal sourcing, execution from target identification to closing, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Support and lead financial modelling, valuation, and management reporting on deal progress.
  • Identify partnership opportunities to support engineering or business initiatives and manage contract negotiations with partners.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The main mission of the role is to drive the all the partnerships and M&A opportunities among Seating Business Group in cooperation with all Functions, Divisions and Product-Lines:

Strategy and business development:

  • Plan and execute strategy and acquisition / carve out projects worldwide
  • Identify and evaluate strategically relevant growth opportunities aligned with Forvia Strategic Plan and business opportunities
  • Perform market sizing and benchmarking, competitive intelligence on product, footprint,… to fuel due diligence processes

Deal management:

  • Perform market screening in terms of deal sourcing and deal flow
  • Prepare, lead and execute transaction processes from target identifications to deal closing
  • Manage and lead management reporting and presentation on the status and progresses of transactions
  • Support and perform financial modelling and valuation activities
  • Lead, organize and structure cross functional teams to support deal execution
  • Work hand by hand with legal department to develop and negotiate all contractual material

Partnership management:

  • Identify partnership opportunities to support engineering or business initiatives
  • Lead, structure and manage the contract redaction and negotiation with the potential partners with the support of the different functions and stakeholders (legal, finance, engineering,…)

Start Up management:

  • Manage our portfolio of Start Ups by supporting, assisting and monitoring their activities to preserve and develop Forvia Interests
Your profile and competencies to succeed

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Master's degree in engineering or business administration
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial environment (ideally in the automotive industry)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Transaction service and / or Strategy
  • Strategic agility and solid business acumen,
  • Strong ability to build-up Business models, to perform financial modelling & business cases
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
