HSBC France is looking for a Senior Institutional Sales Trader to grow our equity execution business and support revenue growth. You will own coverage of institutional clients across high-touch execution and electronic channels, working with Trading, Product, Technology and Control functions.

You will collaborate with Sales and Research, ensure strong client service, and maintain robust risk and regulatory controls in line with HSBC policies.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of economic and financial market mechanics.
• Proven experience in sales trading / financial markets sales.
• Holds the required local market licences, qualifications, and regulatory certifications for sales and trading activities.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Own coverage of institutional clients across high-touch execution, providing market colour, liquidity and trading opportunities, while delivering strong client service and commercial outcomes.
• Originate and develop business opportunities with Institutional Sales by identifying client execution needs, shaping solutions across various execution channels, and aligning HSBC’s product offering with evolving client workflows.
• Participate in the distribution and adoption of HSBC’s electronic execution offering, embedding an electronic mindset within broader client execution discussions.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, Sales, Trading, Research and key internal partners across Risk, Compliance, Finance, Operations, IT, COO, Structuring, and Digital & Data to support franchise growth.
• Act with strong risk ownership and control awareness, ensuring activities are conducted in line with regulatory requirements, HSBC policies, AML, sanctions, anti-corruption standards and broader non-financial risk expectations.

What you will do:

Build and develop client relationships, promote HSBC’s equity execution capabilities (High Touch, PT and Electronic), work closely with internal stakeholders in Trading, Product, Technology and Control functions to deliver high-quality client outcomes and support revenue growth.
