Job summary

Marimekko in Paris is seeking a Sales Associate to join our French retail team at the flagship store. You will engage customers, drive brand awareness and deliver an inspiring shopping experience.

Reporting to the Flagship Store Manager, you should have strong customer service, an interest in art and fashion, and be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. You will collaborate with the team to maintain store standards and visual merchandising.

We are looking for a Sales Associate to join our French retail team to drive Marimekko's brand awareness and positioning in our Paris Flagship store by engaging and inspiring our fashion focused target consumer. You will work closely with our Flagship Store Manager and other Sales Associates.

This is a fulltime position, in which you will report to the Flagship Store Manager. The store is located in central Paris.

Job responsibilities

• Sales Fundamentals (e.g., strive for sales excellence and results, work with customers and model excellent customer service, cultivate and steward clients)
• Operational Excellence (e.g., acting as keyholder with opening and closing procedures, control and maintain all assets in accordance with the company handbook and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures)
• Store Standards and Visual Merchandising (e.g., execute floor moves, visual directives, and merchandising guidelines and ensure store is always clean, neat, organized, and well-maintained)

Help promote community-building and brand awareness efforts, including

• Execute Marimekko's retail store brand activities and execution according to the global and local plan
• Create and foster exceptional customer experience
• Execute brand activities and events together with our Flagship Store Manager
• Create awareness building opportunities through compelling outreach to customers to build a strong customer base
• Be a Marimekko Ambassador: establish, nurture, and grow local consumer community through by new customer acquisition tactics to promote relationship building

In order to succeed in the role, youhave/are

• Work experience in customer service and retail sales
• Interest in art, architecture, design, and fashion
• Ability to be a Marimekko Brand Ambassador in actions, attitude, and appearance
• Proactive and hands-on
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills in French. Proficiency in English is considered an asset
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure
• Able to work flexible work hours (including evenings, nights, and weekends sometimes)
