Jobtailor is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of test benches for power transmission systems in a structured, cross-functional environment. You will translate customer requirements into mechanical specifications and oversee the mechanical architecture from sizing to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Approximately 8 years of experience in mechanical design of test benches
• Experience with rotating machinery, vibration, rotor dynamics, shafts and bearings
• Proficiency in CAD and calculation tools
• English technical proficiency

Responsabilités

• Analyze customer requirements and translate into test bench mechanical specs
• Design the test bench architecture in line with system integration requirements
• Size and calculate rotating components (shafts, supports, bearings, couplings)
• Perform dynamic calculations (critical speeds, vibrational behavior, balancing)
• Ensure consistency between mechanical design and power transmission system under test
• Prepare and update design documentation and calculations
• Monitor manufacturing, assembly and commissioning phases
• Coordinate with testing, instrumentation, functional safety, quality
• Lead the Mechanical work package for new test bench projects
