S27a in Paris is seeking a Robotics Assembly Technician to build, test, and service robot stations and subsystems from engineering documentation to ensure reliability as we scale our fleet.
You will perform electromechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, sensor/actuator integration, and initial bring-up, while executing preventive maintenance and maintaining clear build logs and traceable records in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
As a Robotics Assembly Technician, you are at the core of our hardware team. You will build, test, and maintain our robots and workstations to ensure operational reliability as we scale our fleet.
Assembly: Build robot stations and mechatronic subsystems (mechanical, electromechanical, wiring) from engineering documentation.
Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose faults, replace parts, and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime.
Operations: Execute preventive maintenance routines and assist with spare parts inventory tracking.
Integration & Testing: Perform wiring, soldering, sensor/actuator integration, and initial bring-up.
Deployment: Prepare, calibrate, test, and pack hardware for field deployment.
Technical Support: Troubleshoot teleoperation stations to maintain operator productivity.
Continuous Improvement: Partner with engineers to optimize hardware designs for reliability and ease of assembly.
Documentation: Maintain clear build logs, modification histories, and standard maintenance procedures.
Technical Experience (+5 years): Proven track record in electromechanical assembly, maintenance, and repair (robotics, automotive, or automation).
Background: Technical degree (CAP, Bac Pro, BTS, or equivalent) or a strong self-taught maker background.
Core Skills: Proficiency in mechanical assembly, wiring, soldering, and systematic troubleshooting.
Bonus Skills: Familiarity with basic CAD (SolidWorks, Onshape, Fusion 360), workshop tools, and 3D printing.
Mindset: Practical, curious, and detail-oriented with a focus on problem-solving.
Work Style: Autonomous, methodical, and committed to clear documentation and traceability.
