Description du poste

About us

Bleu Robotics is an AI company developing universal AI software for the deployment of advanced robots , humanoids, mobile manipulators, and industrial arms, in real factories. The convergence of humanoid robotics and modern AI is one of the most significant technical opportunities of the decade, and most of the work today still happens in research settings. We are building the software layer required to bring it into operational use.

We have a strong ambition to become the next Microsoft to run on every industrial humanoid. We have closed our pre-seed round with Top-tier fund to deploy our robot in Tier 1 manufacturing facilities.

We are looking for deeply passionate scientists who can help us push the frontier and build a major lab in our physical AI.

Our vision

To enable a robot to learn a new industrial task from a few demonstrations and operate autonomously, with under one hour between the start of the demonstration and the start of deployment.

This objective shapes our roadmap and every technical decision we make.

The role

We are hiring Robotics Software Engineers focused on integration to join the engineering team that owns our end-to-end AI stack. Your work will ensure that perception, learning, orchestration, and robot interfaces function as one coherent system on real hardware, across a diverse set of robotic platforms.

The role is based in Paris, with occasional on-site work at customer facilities — typically one concentrated week per month for deployment, commissioning, and production debugging.

Background

We are equally interested in two kinds of background:

  1. robotics engineer with experience in deploying robots in real factories or developing robots for real factories (e.g., worked for a robot manufacturer or for a startup that deployed their robot in factories).

  2. robotics engineer with experience in academic or industrial labs, working on deploying and integrating machine learning models on real robots.

Experience with humanoid robots is appreciated but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain the ROS 2 architecture that connects our AI stack: nodes, services, lifecycles, launch configurations

  • Implement controllers for a diverse set of robotic platforms — humanoids, mobile manipulators, arms — bridging our stack to each platform’s interfaces

  • Containerize and deploy the full stack using Docker, including on embedded and edge targets

  • Bring up new robot platforms: integrate vendor SDKs, validate behavior, ensure reliable operation

  • Build and maintain test infrastructure and validation pipelines for system-level integration

  • Debug across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries — the issues that only appear when everything runs together

  • Deploy and commission software on-site at customer facilities

  • Reduce the time from demonstration to deployment by eliminating manual steps and integration friction

  • Own end-to-end system reliability: logging, observability, reproducibility, and tooling for extended autonomous operation

The team

The engineering team is organized around three focus areas with multiple engineers each: Integration (this role), Vision & Perception, and Robot Learning. Early hires will help shape engineering practices, hiring, and culture.

Required qualifications
  • Master’s degree in robotics, or equivalent hands-on experience with physical robots. PhD with hand-on experience are also welcomed.

  • Strong working knowledge of ROS 2

  • Proficiency with Docker in robotics contexts

  • Strong Python development skills

  • Hands-on experience deploying software on physical robotic systems

  • Hands-on experience debugging across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries

  • Comfortable working in Linux environments with Git and CI/CD tooling

  • Professional proficiency in English (internal working language)

  • Professional proficiency in French (required for customer deployments)

  • Availability to travel ~1 week per month, primarily within France

Preferred qualifications

The strongest candidates will combine hands-on robotics fluency with experience across several of the following:

  • Humanoid robots

  • Multiple robotic platforms (arms, mobile bases, etc.)

  • Real-time systems in a robotics context

  • Industrial or manufacturing environments

  • C++ in performance-sensitive contexts

  • Integration of vendor SDKs and bringing up new platforms

  • A leading robotics research lab (academic or industrial)

  • Robotics competitions (RoboCup, Eurobot, etc.)

What we offer
  • A clear, ambitious research mission with measurable real-world impact

  • A diverse fleet of advanced robots, including humanoids, on which to run your research

  • Research that ships: your algorithms run on real machines in real factories

  • Tight collaboration with engineering teams that take your work to production

  • Significant ownership of the research agenda as an early member of the team

  • A focused, technically strong team and a serious engineering culture

  • English-speaking working environment, no French required

  • Fair compensation + equity
