NetSF is seeking an RF Planning & Automation Engineer to design and dimension mobile networks from 2G to 5G, performing HL and LL design. You will drive automation, improve processes, and collaborate with the Automation team to validate new tools and methods for efficient RF planning.

You should hold a Master’s in Telecommunications Engineering with hands-on RF planning experience, strong Python skills, SQL/data processing know-how, and a good grasp of GitLab and Docker environments.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field.
  • Professional experience in RF Planning or Radio Engineering.
  • RF Planning expertise and interest in tools, data processing and automation.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilités

  • Designing and dimensioning mobile radio access networks across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies.
  • Carrying out High-Level Design and Low-Level Design studies for RAN solutions and equipment.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and automate RF Planning activities.
  • Contribute to tool adaptation and integration within telecom environments.
  • Develop or support PoC to validate new RF Planning methods and automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with Automation team to define requirements and test solutions.
  • Support data exchanges between RF Planning tools, databases, vendor systems and internal platforms.

To strengthen our Design and RF Planning department, we are looking for a RF Planning & Automation Engineer

As part of a team of RF experts, you will be responsible for RF Planning activities within a defined geographical area. You will also contribute to improving and automating engineering processes in close collaboration with the Automation team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and dimensioning mobile radio access networks across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies
  • Carrying out High-Level Design and Low-Level Design studies for RAN solutions and equipment
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify and automate RF Planning activities
  • Contributing to the adaptation and integration of tools within telecom environments
  • Developing or supporting Proofs of Concept to validate new RF Planning methods, tools, and automation solutions
  • Working regularly with the Automation team to define operational requirements, test solutions, and support their implementation
  • Contributing to data exchanges between RF Planning tools, databases, vendor systems, and internal platforms
CANDIDATE PROFILE

You have a master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related technical field, together with professional experience in RF Planning or Radio Engineering.

You have RF Planning expertise and an interest in tools, data processing, and process automation.

The following technical skills are expected:

  • Knowledge of RF Planning principles, including link budgets, coverage and capacity dimensioning, cellular planning, and radio optimization
  • Strong Python and scripting skills to analyze data, develop tools, and automate RF Planning activities
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and data processing
  • Basic knowledge of Git/GitLab collaborative workflows and Docker environments
  • Ability to understand data exchanges and interfaces between different telecom tools and systems.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams

Experience with RAN vendors such as Ericsson, Huawei, or ZTE would be considered an advantage.

Previous experience with AI-assisted tools, machine learning or Large Language Models would also be appreciated but is not mandatory.

Naturally curious, you enjoy investigating complex technical topics and improving existing processes. You are able to understand RF Planning requirements and work with automation specialists to translate them into practical and efficient solutions.

Your rigor, analytical mindset, teamwork skills, and ability to adapt quickly will be key assets for succeeding in this position.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory, as you will participate in and lead meetings with international teams.
