Job Description

At Nokia Networks France, we are seeking a talented Applied R&D Engineer - IVT to join our cutting-edge team. With a strong 5G portfolio and expertise in open and virtualized radio access networks, we are looking for an individual who can contribute to our continued success. In this role, you will play a crucial part in testing and validating new radio systems, ensuring they meet our rigorous standards. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Develop comprehensive test strategies for new radio systems, ensuring coverage of all critical aspects and potential edge cases.
• Set up and maintain a diverse range of test equipment, including but not limited to spectrum analyzers, synthesizers, and thermal chambers.
• Conduct both automated and manual tests to identify technical issues and ensure optimal system performance.
• Analyze test results with a critical eye, identifying problems and estimating their potential impact on the system and our valued customers.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to propose and validate solutions, ensuring a swift and effective resolution to any issues.
• Write detailed test reports in English, documenting findings, recommendations, and any notable observations.
• Validate pre-production and industrial processes, ensuring they meet our stringent quality standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the industrial team, offering expertise and assistance when needed.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies, particularly in RF Transceiver architecture, to ensure our testing practices remain cutting-edge.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving innovation in testing and validation practices, and encouraging a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Skills And Experience

• You have a Master's degree in Engineering
• A strong understanding of RF Transceiver architecture and testing methods is essential for success in this role.
• Experience with microwave test equipment, including spectrum analyzers and synthesizers, is a non-negotiable requirement.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a validation team is preferred, demonstrating a proven track record in this field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are necessary for effective collaboration and documentation.
• Knowledge of modems and their seamless integration with radio systems is a significant advantage.
• A curious and autonomous mindset, coupled with a strong work ethic, is highly valued and will contribute to your success in this role.
• Experience with automated testing tools and methodologies is desirable, as it can streamline our testing processes.
• Familiarity with O-RAN and vRAN technologies is a plus, as it demonstrates an understanding of the latest industry advancements.
• A passion for wireless communications and a desire to contribute to cutting-edge technology are essential for this role.
