Job summary

Buc-ee’s, Ltd. is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Mebane, NC to uphold our clean, friendly, in-stock store standard and lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service.

The role involves stepping in for the Store General Manager, managing personnel, ensuring product quality, and maintaining Buc-ee’s service excellence. Expect a 48-hour week with early mornings and weekends, with strong focus on safety and training.

Qualifications

• Degree from college or university; or 1-2 years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in job related field
• Retail or management experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
• Prolonged walking and/or standing for 8-12 continuous hours
• Ability to work on the store’s busiest days including most weekends and holidays
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance

Responsibilities

• Perform duties and responsibilities of the Store General Manager in their absence
• Illustrate competent knowledge of various Point Of Sale systems
• Reconcile multiple shift reports
• Resolve customer and employee issues quickly and in a friendly and professional manner
• Assist the General Manager in recruiting, training, evaluating and managing employees
• Assure safety rules and regulations are implemented and followed
• Communicate professionally with the Store General Manager and employees
• Understand and apply federal, state, and local laws as they apply to retail sales and general employment matters
• Interact professionally with other team members
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned
