Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and recover merchandise, and maintain the store under the Store Manager's direction.

You will perform duties of a Sales Associate and act as a lead in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves and build merchandise displays.
• Clean the store; take out trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties typically performed by the Store Manager in their absence.
