Job summary

Black & White Engineering Limited is seeking a Resident Engineer (Mechanical) to provide technical oversight as complex mechanical systems move from design into installation on site. You will monitor mechanical works, identify potential issues and ensure installations reflect the engineering intent, working closely with contractors and the design team.

This role offers hands-on experience with cooling, HVAC and plant infrastructure, plus opportunities to develop practical site delivery expertise

• Monitor mechanical installations and site activities against approved design information.
• Review mechanical works and technical information for quality and alignment with design intent.
• Identify coordination issues, discrepancies and potential technical risks.
• Support resolution of mechanical queries arising during construction.
• Coordinate with contractors, designers and other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in inspections, meetings and technical reviews.
• Maintain clear records of engineering issues, actions and site observations.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge with relevant construction or site delivery experience.

As Resident Engineer (Mechanical), you will bring engineering and construction together, providing technical oversight as complex mechanical systems move from design into installation.

Working closely with contractors, consultants and the wider design team, you will monitor mechanical works, identify potential issues and help ensure installations reflect the engineering intent.
