Mistral.ai is seeking a talented and experienced platform engineer to join our Research Platform team in Paris, Warsaw, or London, with hybrid work options and remote EU/UK possibilities requiring monthly hub visits.

You will build a cloud-agnostic platform to improve stability, scalability and velocity across the research department, creating tools to empower researchers on high-performance clusters.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a DX/DevOps/SRE role.
• Proficiency in Python and Go; coding best practices.
• Exposure to site reliability engineering and in-production troubleshooting.
• Exposure to infrastructure management: CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, infra-as-code, monitoring.
• Technical product mindset; understanding adoption and impact.
• Strong problem-solving and communication, with ability to gain buy-in for high-stakes solutions.
• Autonomy, initiative, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup.

Responsabilités

• Scale the research CI with reliability, reproducibility and speed.
• Create a flexible, solid development environment for researchers.
• Design and implement data pipelines for large data volumes.
• Optimize builds: container images, libraries, Python environments.
• Build strong relationships with researchers and enable better workflows.
• Produce documentation and content to help users maximize tool usage.
• Platformize research and improve daily experience while avoiding roadblocks.
