Jobgether is seeking a Senior Combat Designer - Freelance for a fully remote role based in France. You will design, prototype, balance, and ship combat systems and enemy behaviours within an ambitious RPG project.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in game design, experience on shipped AAA titles, and strong Unreal Engine/Blueprint skills. This is a 5-month contract with remote work across Europe and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Game Design experience.
• Experience as a Combat Designer or similar role on shipped titles (AAA preferred).
• Deep understanding of Soulslike combat principles and player expectations.
• Hands-on with Unreal Engine and Blueprint scripting.

Responsabilités

• Develop and refine core combat systems and enemy archetypes.
• Prototype, balance, and ship combat features.
• Collaborate with programmers, artists, and other disciplines to implement combat mechanics.
• Create documentation and communicate design intent clearly.
