Motion, a remote-first startup, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead full-stack development with a backend focus. You will design, implement, and maintain robust APIs and services, collaborating across teams to deliver scalable backend features and integrations.

You will work with React, Node.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Azure, shaping AI-powered workflows and data architectures while shipping high-quality software used by top brands.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building and maintaining large-scale software applications.
• Proficiency with core stack (React, Node.js, TypeScript) or similar tech.
• Interest in applying AI to software development and workflows.
• Experience with asynchronous messaging systems.
• Experience with document databases (MongoDB) and data modeling/ETL concepts.

Responsabilités

• Scoping, designing, and implementing resilient, performant backend solutions.
• Collaborating with engineers to deliver complex backend features and integrations.
• Maintaining and enhancing existing integrations to scale with Motion's growth.
• Identifying and resolving errors, performance issues, and tooling problems in the codebase.
• Driving engineering advancements and contributing to architecture decisions.
