Alice & Bob in Paris is seeking a Quantum Compilation Scientist to join our newly formed compilation team. You will design and optimize the software toolchain that translates quantum programs into physical gate operations on our processors.

This cross-disciplinary role spans quantum physics and computer science, with a focus on integrating architectural advances into the resource estimator for scalable performance.

Qualifications

• Expertise across quantum compilation, error correction, fault-tolerant algorithms, and compilation theory.
• PhD or equivalent in CS, EE, Physics, or QIS or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one compiled language (C++/Rust).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in cross-functional teams.
• Professional-level English proficiency, written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Develop Alice & Bob’s compilation tool suite, with theory and implementation.
• Improve the resource estimator to incorporate architectural improvements and enable external use.
• Filing patents, publishing results, and presenting at conferences.
• Mentor junior team members, interns, and PhD students.
