Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems. You will design and optimize the software toolchain translating quantum programs into physical gate operations on our processors.

This cross-disciplinary role blends quantum physics and computer science, with a focus on integrating architectural advances into the resource estimator to scale performance while maintaining fault tolerance. You will mentor interns and publish results.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in CS, EE, Physics, Quantum Information Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and at least a compiled language (C++, Rust, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in cross-functional teams.
• Professional-level English proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Develop Alice & Bob’s compilation tool suite, both theoretically and implementation-wise, to maximize the use of our fault-tolerant quantum computer architecture.
• Improve the resource estimator to integrate our latest architectural improvements and make it usable by external users.
• Fill patents, publish results in scientific publications and present them at conferences.
• Mentor junior team members, interns, and PhD students.
