IXO Inc. is seeking an experienced outpatient coder to review records and evaluate coding decisions. You will annotate various settings using ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS, and assess E/M levels based on decision-making or total time.

The role requires CPC certification and strong knowledge of coding conventions. Remote US-based work with flexible assignment schedules; strong written and verbal communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Active AAPC CPC certification required.
• Detailed ICD-10-CM/CPT and outpatient E/M knowledge preferred.
• Hands-on outpatient coding across clinical settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Annotate office, clinic, ambulatory-surgery and hospital-outpatient records using ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS.
• Assess outpatient E/M levels using medical-decision-making or total-time rules.
• Apply diagnosis conventions, modifiers, medical-necessity rules and diagnosis-to-procedure links.
• Resolve documentation ambiguity and explain coding edge cases clearly.
