Job summary

Owkin is seeking a Scientist II Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions focused on LLMs and Generative AI. You will bridge experimental data science and production ML, scaling models and pipelines across cloud environments to deliver robust biomedical solutions.

Required: 5+ years in software development with Python, and deployment of deep learning models; strong PyTorch or TensorFlow, Hugging Face expertise, and cloud/MLOps experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field with ML/AI focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable machine learning libraries, tooling, and workflows with research and data scientists.
• Shape research infrastructure requirements and guide tool choices with the platform team.
• Champion software engineering best practices for maintainable, testable, and scalable code.
• Design and improve experiment tracking, reproducibility, and end-to-end model lifecycle management.
• Contribute to rapid prototyping of novel models bridging research and production.
