Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Security Engineer (Fractional) based in France for a part-time engagement focused on elevating an established tech organization toward enterprise-grade security.

You will shape the security strategy, establish practical controls, and mentor engineering teams while supporting GDPR and data privacy compliance across Europe, Asia, and Australia. The role includes advising early-stage ventures on right-sized security frameworks.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security engineering with cloud/app security focus.
• Experience with DevSecOps, incident readiness, and security governance.
• Familiarity with GDPR and cross-border privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop a 12-month security roadmap balancing security and speed.
• Maintain a security risk register and prioritize remediation.
• Mentor IT Manager and translate activities into actionable controls.
• Provide security guidance on secure coding, DevSecOps, and OWASP principles.
• Strengthen controls across cloud infra, CI/CD, IAM, and endpoints.
• Align data handling with GDPR, data privacy acts, and regulatory requirements.
• Improve responses to security questionnaires, audits, and vendor assessments.
• Develop and implement incident response, access control, and DR policies.
• Advise on security tech selections (EDR, SIEM, vulnerability mgmt).
• Create a framework for portfolio companies with practical controls.
