Job summary

Hilo by Aktiia is a remote-first company delivering cuffless blood pressure monitoring solutions. We seek a Financial Controller to own monthly, quarterly and annual closes across multiple legal entities, manage group consolidation, VAT and tax compliance, and supervise a small accounting team.

You will drive automation and AI to streamline processes, collaborate with external accountants and auditors across jurisdictions, and report to the VP Finance to support international scale.

Qualifications

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual closing across the Group.
• Coordinate accounting across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Supervise day-to-day accounting activities and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process across the Group.
• Coordinate accounting across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions, ensuring consistent practices and timely reporting.
• Supervise the day-to-day accounting activities of a two-person team, covering revenue, COGS, inventory, payroll, accruals and general ledger.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations and balance sheet accounts to resolve outstanding items.
• Maintain the closing calendar and controls, ensuring proper cut-offs across entities.
• Improve the speed, quality and reliability of the close and support audits.
