Current AI is a small team building its operational systems from the ground up. You will ensure the team has the right tools to work efficiently, that money moves correctly, contracts are in order, and records are accurate.

You will report to the Finance & Operations Manager and collaborate with grants, programmes and people operations. This multi‑faceted role suits someone with a financial background who enjoys bringing order to processes, improving controls, and identifying automation

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in audit or an in-house finance role.
• Solid knowledge of French accounting (PCG) and month-end close.
• Bachelor or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or similar field.
• Careful with detail and critical thinking: you notice when a number does not match.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Fluent English and French, written and spoken.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
• High discretion, you will handle confidential funder, grantee and staff information.
• Comfortable in an organisation that is still building its processes, able to bring your own methodology.
• Nice to have: Experience with associations, foundations or restricted funds (fonds dédiés).
• Exposure to US funders or grant reporting.
• Experience automating finance workflows, or curiosity about AI tools to do so

Responsabilités

• Own the full invoice lifecycle including recording, coding, verifying expenses against contracts, and tracking payments.
• Handle payment processing and reconciliation, including supplier payments and grantee disbursements.
• Support monthly closing workflow and bank reconciliations with external accountants.
• Track budget vs. expenses and advise leadership on resource allocations.
• Support the annual audit process.
• Manage tools, subscriptions, licences and team access.
• Run and monitor automated workflows; flag issues and push for fixes.
• Identify opportunities to automate finance tasks.
• Strategically allocate donor funds to grantees within donor restrictions.
• Prepare donor reporting packs and develop automation where possible.
• Support donor and partner relationship management.
• Ensure vendor compliance by screening against sanctions lists.
• Keep data protection records current as tools evolve.
• Support grantee financial due diligence.
• Prepare contracts and route for signature with legal support.
• Manage contracts per procurement policy and assist supplier sourcing/negotiation.
