Job summary

Alignerr is seeking environmental engineering experts to train and improve advanced AI models. Your domain knowledge will shape how AI reasons about contaminant transport, regulatory compliance, and environmental processes, impacting the next generation of AI technology.

This is a fully remote, flexible hourly contract. You set your hours and work on your own schedule, contributing to cross-domain AI training with EPA/ISO context.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering with environmental focus.
• Strong domain knowledge in aquatic chemistry, wastewater design, or air quality engineering.
• Detail-oriented with rigorous regulatory/logical checks.
• Excellent written communication and independent work capability.

Responsibilities

• Design complex engineering problems spanning contaminant transport, mass balance, and LCA.
• Author rigorous, step-by-step solutions for AI training benchmarks.
• Audit AI outputs for accuracy, safety, and regulatory adherence.
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI model reasoning.
• Collaborate across water/wastewater, air quality, EHS, and hazardous waste topics.
