VINCI Construction is seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to oversee construction materials testing for a major international project. You will lead the project laboratory, supervise testing activities, and provide accurate test results throughout the lifecycle in a remote, demanding environment.

Reporting to the Construction Manager and HQ Geotechnical Manager, you will coordinate testing with site teams, ensure compliance with standards, and train technicians.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory and field testing of soils, aggregates and concrete.
• Experience managing a construction materials laboratory.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements; knowledge of Australian and NSW RMS standards would be an advantage.
• Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational abilities.
• Good command of English is essential.

Responsabilités

• Set up and manage the project laboratory, including equipment calibration and client certification requirements.
• Organise daily laboratory operations, including maintenance activities and consumables management.
• Plan laboratory workloads and coordinate the activities of technicians and operators.
• Ensure quality control of laboratory testing activities and compliance with applicable standards.
• Review and issue laboratory test reports.
• Monitor testing programmes and support field testing activities.
• Coordinate laboratory and site testing activities with project teams.
• Training and supporting technicians and operators in laboratory and field testing procedures.
• Ensuring laboratory equipment is properly maintained, verified and calibrated.
