RemoteJobsOne is seeking a highly skilled CAD and mechanical-design expert to contribute to an AI training project. This fully remote contractor role focuses on interpreting engineering drawings, creating precise 3D models in Python, and exporting STEP files while ensuring strict geometric validity.

You’ll work on translating 2D schematics into accurate 3D models, validating topology and dimensions, and producing reproducible CAD solutions within a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Strong Python programming ability.
• Hands-on experience with 3D CAD or computational geometry.
• Ability to interpret dimensioned engineering drawings and schematics.
• Strong 3D spatial reasoning and attention to geometric precision.
• Experience validating or troubleshooting CAD models.

Responsabilités

• Interpret dimensions and geometric relationships from technical drawings.
• Translate 2D schematics into accurate 3D mechanical models.
• Decompose complex components into appropriate geometric features.
• Model curved profiles, sweeps, lofts, fillets, chamfers, and Boolean operations.
• Use Python to generate or automate CAD geometry.
• Export valid, watertight solid models in formats such as STEP.
• Validate dimensions, topology, volume, surface area, and inertia properties.
• Diagnose subtle differences between expected and generated geometry.
• Produce reproducible solutions that work in clean technical environments.
