Jobgether is seeking a Backend Engineer to build robust API integrations, workers, and a mailer service from France. You’ll own design decisions for reliability, scalability, and observability, connecting Box, HubSpot, Microsoft Graph, and other systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building production API integrations including OAuth, webhooks, pagination, rate limits, authentication, and error handling.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, schema design, data persistence, and safe migrations.
• Strong testing mindset with contract, integration, unit, and/or end-to-end tests.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain production-ready API integrations and connectors (Box, HubSpot, Microsoft Graph, Asana, billing systems).
• Implement reliable authentication and integration patterns with OAuth, webhooks, pagination, rate limits, retries, and error handling.
• Design and develop queue-driven, stateful workers and background jobs.
• Build and maintain a mailer service with PDF attachments, logging, retries, delivery checks, and deduplication.
• Design database schemas and implement migrations with PostgreSQL or equivalent.
• Implement audit events and observability with correlation IDs and distributed tracing.
• Develop QA coverage including contract, integration, and end-to-end tests for critical workflows.
• Use Docker, queue/eventing tech, and observability practices for deployment and operations.
• Identify failure modes to harden systems against timeouts, webhook failures, retries, and duplicate events.
