Jobgether partners with a company in France to hire an Applied AI Engineer. You will design and build agentic systems, enabling AI agents to manage context, use tools, coordinate tasks, and improve performance in production environments.

As an early core member of the engineering team, you will influence architectural decisions and technical standards while advancing AI-driven software development workflows across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with production deployment experience.
• Hands-on experience building production AI or agentic systems.
• Understanding of reliability, latency, context management, failure modes, evaluation, and observability.
• Strong knowledge of agent architectures, tool use, structured outputs, context management, orchestration, evaluation frameworks, and feedback loops.
• Advanced practical experience with modern LLMs and the ability to build reliable workflows around probabilistic AI systems.
• Experience with coding agents and agentic development workflows in everyday software engineering.
• Ability to break down complex engineering tasks across multiple agents and validate outputs.
• Strong architectural judgment for AI models, deterministic software, and human intervention.
• Fluent English; willingness to work in TypeScript-first environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the technical foundations of agentic systems, including memory, context management, tool-calling and orchestration.
• Develop reusable AI infrastructure enabling rapid, reliable new workflows.
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure agent performance and identify failure points.
• Integrate testing, tracing, debugging, and evaluation into the software lifecycle.
• Develop validation processes for agentic workflows before production deployment.
• Advance the use of LLMs in software development with AI-assisted workflows.
• Create workflows where coding agents explore code repositories, implement changes, review architecture, and iterate with minimal human input.
• Use agentic tools in daily development activities.
• Architect systems enabling specialized AI agents, tools, deterministic software, and human expertise to collaborate effectively.
• Decide when to use LLMs, traditional software, human input, or multi-agent approaches for best outcomes.
• Collaborate with product and operations to identify automation opportunities and translate them into production systems.
• Establish scalable architectural patterns and engineering standards for agentic systems.
