Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an Application Security Analyst (AI Training) to analyze real-world security scenarios and help AI models learn to assess application risk. You will annotate vulnerabilities, evaluate remediation approaches, and contribute to dataset creation for AI security reasoning.

This is a remote hourly contract, with flexible commitment of 10–40 hours per week. Join a frontier AI security team and influence how secure software is taught to AI systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in application security or related roles.
• Solid knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerabilities.
• Ability to think like an attacker and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong written communication with a methodical security reasoning approach.
• Comfortable working independently and asynchronously.

Responsibilities

• Analyze real-world application security scenarios across code, APIs, and systems.
• Annotate and classify vulnerabilities including authentication flaws and injection risks.
• Evaluate secure coding practices and remediation strategies.
• Differentiate genuine exploitability from low-risk findings.
• Help create security-focused datasets to teach AI how to assess application risk.
